A bonded windshield does not care where it is fitted. It cares about three things: a still vehicle, a dry pinchweld and time. Urethane climbs to full strength over a set number of minutes, and that clock runs slower on a cold damp morning than on a warm afternoon, so a February booking is more weather-dependent than a June one. Rain landing on the bonding surface is the single thing that stops a job outright, and we would sooner move your slot than lay a bead on a bed we are not happy with.
The rest of it is parking. We need enough room to stand alongside the car and swing a windshield off the rack, which is closer to a space and a half than a tight parallel gap between two bumpers. On the wider blocks near the park, alongside a lot, or at an alley mouth, that is easy. On a rowhouse street parked solid at four in the afternoon it is not, and the honest answer is often to come to us instead. Chips and side windows are far more forgiving than windshields.
