Camden is close enough to be a normal morning's work but far enough that the honest advice is usually to make one trip and make it count. There is no toll leaving New Jersey, only coming back into Pennsylvania, so the arithmetic of a single drive over is simple and the crossing itself is short. What is not simple is the mobile van hopping the river repeatedly for a thirty minute job, so if you want us at your house in Camden we will talk about timing rather than pretend it is the same as a run up the Boulevard.
The damage pattern from Camden is distinctive because the bridges dominate it. Bridge decks have expansion joints every few yards, steel grating in places, and a constant supply of grit and metal debris kicked up by the traffic ahead of you, all of it taken at speed with nowhere to move sideways. Add the run along Admiral Wilson Boulevard and Route 130 and you have a lot of high-speed stone landing on glass. Most Camden customers arrive with a windshield rather than a broken side window, and most of them have been watching the chip since the summer. Admiral Wilson Boulevard runs into the city from the east as a fast, wide, heavily patched approach road, and it feeds the bridge traffic that defines driving here. Route 130 and Federal Street carry the local movement, and the streets around the waterfront are a mixture of old industrial surfacing, rail crossings and truck routes serving the port. The Ben Franklin Bridge lifts I-676 straight across into Philadelphia; the Betsy Ross to the north drops you onto Aramingo Avenue and the river wards, which is the better approach for us. Both decks are jointed steel and concrete, both are permanently under some form of repair, and both are where Camden windshields actually get hit.

The Betsy Ross Bridge is the one to use. From Camden take Route 130 north to the bridge approach, cross into Philadelphia, come down onto Aramingo Avenue and turn west onto Allegheny Avenue. Follow Allegheny to Front Street, turn north, and run up past Ontario and Venango to just below Erie Avenue; N Lawrence is in there between Front and 2nd. The Ben Franklin Bridge and I-676 work too but put you into Center City traffic first. Tolls are collected entering Pennsylvania, not leaving. Twenty-five minutes on a clear run. If you are making the trip for a chip fill, wait for it; it is thirty minutes and it saves you doing the crossing twice.
Then do not drive it over the bridge, and say so when you call. A windshield with a crack running the full width has lost a large part of its structural contribution to the roof and the passenger airbag, and a bridge deck at fifty is the wrong place to find that out.
